			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The Occupational Injury Prevention &amp; Rehabilitation Society (OIPRS) is a multi-disciplinary organization serving the specific and unique needs of professionals working with industry in the prevention and rehabilitation of occupational injuries. <p>Special Projects &#8211; The Society has met with and presented information to the Board of Certified Professional Ergonomist (BCPE) regarding an additional level of certification. The Society will continue to interact with the BCPE as they develop the requirements and procedures needed for Certified Ergonomic Specialist. This initial project and other special projects will provide a collective voice that will have a positive impact on the direction of the field.</p>
<p>Networking &#8211; One of our main objectives is to begin networking with organizations which have similar interest. If you are associated with such an organization or know of one please let us know. e-mail OIPRS</p>
<p>The main purpose of OIPRS is to promote the development of the field of occupational injury prevention and rehabilitation services and to serve as a resource for education, research and technology.</p>
<p>Objectives &#8211; Our objectives are to:</p>
<p>Provide opportunities for individual and organizational providers of occupational injury prevention and rehabilitation services through education, networking and publications.</p>
<p>Advance certification issues and the development of standards and terminology.</p>
<p>Pro-actively influence the direction of the field through networking with the assistance of consumers of services.</p>
<p>Promote the specialty of occupational injury prevention and rehabilitation through advancement of the field and identification of trends and research needs.</p>
